Billy Rose, Pastor
Billy's relationship with South Dallas begin in high school when he would volunteer on Friday nights alongside his parents and church to serve the homeless and walk the streets and pray. However with Dallas in his rear view after high school he attended Tuskegee University in Alabama, completing a degree in Animal Science.
It was at Tuskegee where he met his wife Areia through a campus ministry they both were active in called Campus Outreach. After graduating and getting married they moved to New York City to pursue their master's degrees while Billy taught middle school in Brooklyn, NY.
After two years in Brooklyn, they moved to Dallas where Billy began to mentor through and eventually joined the staff of Champions of Hope as the Director of Mentoring. This brought the Rose family to South Dallas where they have lived since 2012. In 2013 after years of prayer the Lord blessed them with Titus, an energetic addition to the Rose family and in 2018 with Benjamin.
Billy now leads SDCC and hopes to see the Lord raise up a diverse Christ exalting people who makes comprehensive disciples that seek the shalom of the community, city, and world.
